Capabilities
Our primary client work is AI consulting and team training: Advisory engagements on how to adopt AI, plus instructor-led workshops and in-house team training. When a team is ready to build, we follow with a scoped statement of work — retrieval over private data, agents, evaluation, and production hardening.
Advisory work for leaders and teams: what to adopt, what to skip, and how AI should fit your workflows. We leave you with a clear recommendation — not a slide deck that no one can execute.
Unify workflows across apps and data stores—REST and event-driven integrations, APIs, and careful data flows so humans and automation (including AI agents) operate on trustworthy sources.
Move from brittle legacy stacks toward cloud-native and serverless patterns where they earn their cost—often as part of shipping a concrete product milestone, not a vague lift-and-shift.
Identify vulnerabilities before they become breaches. We conduct penetration testing, policy audits, and implement security best practices.
Move to the cloud with confidence. We plan, execute, and optimize your migration to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with zero downtime.
Instructor-led workshops and in-house training so your people can use AI in their own tools. Half-day, full-day, or a short series — scoped to your team, not a generic course catalog.
Private knowledge, grounded answers
Retrieval-augmented generation over your documents and data—with chunking, embedding, reranking, evaluation sets, and guardrails so outputs are useful in production, not just impressive in demos.
LangChain / LangGraph tool workflows
Agents that plan, call APIs, retrieve context, and hand off cleanly—paired with tracing, retries, logging, and human oversight for reliable operational automation.
From pilot to production
Roadmaps plus LLM observability—test sets, qualitative review loops, latency and cost budgeting, and rollout patterns suited to regulated or high-stakes settings.
Hands-on GPU education
Workshops aligned with NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) standards—delivered in person or virtually for your team.
Team & fit
Nexus operates as your vendor of record—you buy scoped, temporary engagements (discovery + milestones)—not staffing or employment of our principals on your payroll. We allocate and manage delivery; as volume grows Nexus can bring in bench talent under the same statements of work. Contracts, invoices, and IP flow through Nexus AI Solutions LLC (Utah).
Dr. Majid Memari —Founder & Principal AI Architect, Nexus AI Solutions LLC. Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Utah Valley University (2024–present); NVIDIA University Ambassador and Deep Learning Institute Certified Instructor. He leads AI consulting and team training for clients, and public-sector programs such as DataGovAI at the Gary R. Herbert Institute for Public Policy.
Hamid Memari — Technical Delivery Lead on Nexus mandates. Hands-on integrations, backends, build automation, escalation discipline, and production hardening borrowed from regulated product environments—all tuned for clients who refuse fragile AI veneers.
We're co-located in the Salt Lake City area for sharper discovery, whiteboarding, and delivery cadence together.
We focus on scoped outcomes you can inspect: identifiable knowledge sources, named integrations (CRMs, ticketing, warehouses, FHIR-ish boundaries), and plain success criteria—not open-ended requests to build an entire AI product without shared discovery and boundaries.
Most engagements begin with a paid discovery sprint (architecture, backlog, risks, latency and cost envelopes) followed by phased build milestones. Fixed scopes work best after that grounding.
We sell discrete SOW packages and phased projects—not open-ended faux headcount or unmanaged on-call. Optional follow-on SOWs(“phase 2,” sustainment bursts) extend work only when scope is rewritten and signed— Nexus still runs staffing and accountability under the vendor relationship.

AI Utah, Silicon Slopes & Utah tech
Nexus supports AI Utah—Utah's AI user group and community hub for practitioners, events, companies, and collaboration. It's where the statewide AI community meets (including programs like AI Utah 100). Our leads host office hours alongside student cohorts so talent pipelines intersect with hiring managers—not just conference badges.
We stay embedded in Silicon Slopes, the nonprofit powering Utah founders, so Nexus clients indirectly tap that deal-flow and partner choreography while recruits from our internship bench meet operators face to face.
Public sector
Nexus architects responsible AI deployments with Utah departments and institutes—typically in concert with collaborators like the Gary R. Herbert Institute for Public Policy—so backlog, procurement, governance, and model risk stay aligned before code ships. Mentor-led student teams rotate through these programs with the same Nexus leads who oversee commercial work.
AI applied to data governance and privacy management—improving compliance efficiency and strengthening transparency and public trust.
AI-driven solutions that reduce manual review time and expand secure access to data for research and policy innovation.
Helping Utah build a modern, responsible data foundation that supports research while safeguarding citizens.

Our active client work is AI consulting and team training. We advise organizations on how to adopt AI — and when not to — and we train teams through workshops and hands-on sessions. When you need a system built, that is a separate, scoped statement of work: retrieval over private documents, agents, evaluation, and production hardening.
Organizational training is scoped to your team's tools and goals — typically a half-day or full-day workshop, or a short series. NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute sessions use GPU-accelerated labs and DLI-style certificates of completion. Campus student workshops at participating universities are offered at no charge to students.
Every statement of work is executed under Nexus AI Solutions LLC. Dr. Majid Memari — Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Utah Valley University, NVIDIA University Ambassador, and Principal AI Architect at the Gary R. Herbert Institute for Public Policy — anchors architecture, retrieval/agent systems, evaluations, and governance. Hamid Memari leads technical delivery: integrations, backends, CI hygiene, and production cutovers. Both principals are in Utah's Salt Lake metro — not a revolving cast of subcontractors.
You're engaging Nexus AI Solutions LLC as an independent business—typically milestone- or deliverable-based statements of work—not putting our principals on your payroll. Nexus assigns who does the work (principals today; vetted bench later as we scale). That keeps IP, invoicing, and responsibility with the company delivering the outcomes you bought.
We work across education, government, healthcare, public safety, and enterprise. Our solutions range from AI-powered EdTech platforms and emergency-services simulation training to privacy-preserving data systems for state agencies.
Absolutely. We integrate with AWS, Azure, GCP, on-prem infrastructure, and hybrid setups. Our team has deep experience with Python, PyTorch, LangChain, Next.js, and modern cloud-native architectures.
We prefer to de-risk with a paid discovery sprint: goals, constraints, architecture, backlog, risks, latency and cost envelopes, then a concrete build proposal or milestone plan. Larger builds proceed in phases—with evaluation hooks early—rather than committing to ambiguous fixed scope without shared understanding.
Yes—normally as separate, signed follow-on work: stabilization windows, model/prompt upkeep, retrieval tuning, observability tweaks, docs, or a clearly bounded sustainment sprint. Nexus sells projects and phased SOWs, not pretending to be embedded FTE unless your procurement deliberately buys a capped sustainment engagement with explicit boundaries (never implied 24/7 on-call unless written into the SOW).
Security and privacy are core to every engagement. We build with encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access, audit logging, and compliance with frameworks like HIPAA, FERPA, and state data-privacy regulations.
